Strike.

These images are taken of gallery's. I find the dynamic composition interesting. The structure is very unique and eye catching. 

I'm an Ant.

The angle this is shot at makes it more interesting, it takes a different approach. Everything is maximized. I also like how you can see the a little burst of colour in the distance. 

Do you know your ABC?

Letters, such an obvious and direct subject creating many horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines. 

Standing alone.

This image just appeals to me. I find it very vintage. I like the customized element. 

Typical Deena.

I found this an interesting way of presenting and capturing a horizontal structure.

Express Yourself.

These are images took of graffiti, there was a lot of this in certain areas. I find this interesting as it peoples direct feelings/emotion/opinions etc. They can not alter what they graffiti.

Diamonds.

The pattern created from both structure and shadow is beautiful. 

Square? Or Not Square?

Distortion. I love the how the glass distorts the bricks creating a very abstract aspect.

One Way.

I love the composition of this image, it is made up strong horizontal lines. They are bold, striking and prominent.

Aim For The Distance

This image isn't great quality, but i like the angle it is shot at.... capturing three blocks of light that fade into the horizon. 

Subtle

                                    The colours are very soft and the lines are very delicate.

I want to ride my bicycle.

I really like this image. It is different and displays an interesting view. I like the complimenting colours of red that are captured as well as the unusual stance.

Again, this image is inspired by The Boyle Family. Although it is simplistic it is still effective capturing both detail and texture.

Dirty.

This image is very dull and dark which links in well when expressing smoking. However I am interested in the composition of the cigarettes, the way they are presented displays a range of horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines they are tangled together. 

Repeat Repeat Repeat.

The patterns in this image are interesting, they are very strong and repetitive. 

Blurry Vision.

I love the distortion this image creates. Looking through the water bottle is a blur of different shapes and colours. It becomes very abstract.

Block.

This image I kept simple focusing on the strong lines that create block sections. It is plain but straight to the point. 

Window Peeping.

The composition of this image is so unusual but very interesting. The image is very boring and bland BUT.. then you get this little window. 

Lost Connection.

In this image I like the brightness of the barriers. They have a strong impact on the mood of the image as they are cutting of the connection between the house and the road. 

Bright Day.

This image is very simple but creates a solid structure. It is made up of strong Horizontal, Vertical and Diagonal lines which contrast nicely against the bright blue sky.

Understanding Numbers.

I like the angle this is shot at, the composition is interesting. I also love how the numbers are the main focus of the image, they create mystery. Words are very direct but numbers.... what do they resemble? 

What is down there?

A zoomed in shot of a grid. I like the repetitiveness in this image, it has structure. I also like how you get a glimpse of certain objects that might be down the grid. The image capture a cigarette, bread and other unidentified objects, this triggers your imagination.

Come Inside....

This image captures a lot of detail. However the main subject is the door handle, you want to know where the door leads too. You can see a little glimpse through the keyhole, this intrigues the viewer.

Woman in the window.

I love how creepy this image is. A run down window, tatty curtains and nothing in focus but the image of a woman. 

Bringing the inside outside.

I love that this photograph combines the inside with the outside. Is this a magic door? Where does it lead too? Why is it there? This creates curiosity as well as a scary atmosphere. The composition of the picture presents a range of horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines.

Pretty Mosaic.

I love the range of colours and textures created in this picture, the depth cues grab your attention to make the photo more interesting.

Behind bars.

This photo makes me feel like I am trapped, I am restrained from what is on the other side. WHAT IS ON  THE OTHER SIDE?

Rainy road.

This photo is made up of only horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines, which links brilliantly with my brief. The striking yellow grabs your attention in.

And the driving lessons begin...

I love the unusual angle this is shot from, magnifying what is usually one of the smallest parts of the car and creating the effect its giant. It alters the perspective.

Can you spot the object?

Here I like how the coat hanger casually blends in with the ground yet its such an unusual object when placed in that environment.

Dare you enter...

I like how the main focus of the photo is numbers, it grabs your attention! I also like how the peeled paint work creates a creepy effect.

The only way is up.

An arrow carved into the bricks to make them a little more interesting, I think this creates curiosity.

Blurry books make pretty colours.

A photograph I took in the towns library. I feel the horizontal composition and range of colours make a good combination.
